The plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio detoured to Andrews' joint base Thursday night due to mechanical issues.
Rubio was on his way from Washington, D.C. to Munich, Germany on Thursday night, spokesman Tammy Bruce.

The plane then turned around and returned to Andrews' joint base.
Bruce said Rubio will continue his trip to Germany and the Middle East on another plane.
