Following an agreement between President Donald Trump and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, illegal aliens deported from the United States have arrived in the socialist countries.
This week, Trump secured an agreement with Maduro and resumed deportation of illegal aliens from the United States to Venezuela. On Monday evening, a deportation flight landed in La Guira, Venezuela, and was filled with illegal aliens who had immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) custody while awaiting deportation.
The Maduro administration was primarily an uncooperative partner in receiving people from the United States. For example, last year there were no deportation flights to Venezuela.
That changed in January when the Trump administration began accepting people in Venezuela. But Maduro halted the public acceptance when former President Joe Biden terminated the license granted to California-based Chevron, allowing oil giants to resume production in Venezuela and allow Venezuelan oil to be sold in the American market.
Ensuring Venezuela will regain its people is important to the Trump administration as the president ends the Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for more than 300,000 Venezuelans in the United States. All will be subject to deportation.
On Monday, Trump announced economic sanctions against Venezuela, which places tariffs on foreign countries that buy oil and gas from socialist countries.
Trump said the sanctions were “intentionally and deceived” by the Maduro administration to send members of illegal alien gangs, including people including Tren de Lagua, into the United States via the tropical border.
