"Please do me a huge favor": President Trump entertains the audience while advocating for Republicans

Trump Rallies Supporters at Midterm Convention

In a lively atmosphere, President Donald Trump energized his supporters as he took aim at Democrats, all while highlighting Republican achievements as the midterm convention wrapped up.

On Thursday evening, to the tune of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.,” Trump stepped onto the stage following a warm reception for Vice President JD Vance. He immediately shared a recap of his accomplishments during his second term.

‘If the Democrats take over, they’ll ruin everything we’ve worked for,’ Trump insisted.

“I want to express my gratitude to our excellent vice president, who performed exceptionally well tonight,” he opened.

“This venue is packed. It was packed last night, too,” Trump remarked, having also addressed the audience on Wednesday. “But what matters more is the energy. … I feel a spirit that we haven’t experienced in this country for quite some time.”

The president traced this renewed spirit back to the support he garnered in the 2024 election.

“Less than two years ago, the American people entrusted us with the responsibility to save our nation,” he stated. “In the last 19 months, I’ve fulfilled nearly every promise we made—and honestly, I think I’ve exceeded expectations.”

Trump reminded the audience of the disorder at the southern border during former President Joe Biden’s administration, urging them to keep that chaos in mind as they head to the polls.

According to the White House, border releases have been non-existent for the past 15 months and net migration turned negative in 2025.

“The Democrats opened the borders wide, letting in 25 million people from all corners of the world,” Trump proclaimed. “We turned that dark period into a golden era for America.”

From there, he highlighted other achievements from his second term.

“We enacted the largest tax cuts and regulation cuts in our history, invested more in our military than ever before, and established our nation as the foremost energy and military powerhouse worldwide,” Trump declared.

He also pointed to significant reductions in prescription drug prices alongside the Democrats’ pro-transgender policies, calling on his supporters to mobilize their friends and families to vote in November.

“Please make sure to get out and vote,” Trump urged. “Let’s get out there and make our voices heard.”

He then revisited a key proposal from his previous day’s address: the Trump dividend.

“If we secure victory in the midterms… we’ll introduce the Trump dividend: $5,000 for every adult citizen in this country,” Trump asserted. “We can do this because the country is thriving. We are generating trillions of dollars.”

Trump encouraged the audience to treat their vote as if he were on the ballot, acknowledging that typically, Republican turnout suffers when he is not leading the ticket.

“I’m not on the ballot, but you’ve got to act like I am. You’ve got to do the biggest favor for me,” he joked, adding, “Just think of me on the ticket—you understand what I mean, right?”

He underscored the significance of the election.

“If the Democrats win, they’ll dismantle all that we’ve achieved,” Trump warned. “So on November 3, I need you to promise me you will vote as if I’m on the ballot.”

As he wrapped up, Trump had the attendees raise their right hands, declaring their commitment to vote.

“I pledge to support the greatest president in history, who has such strong love for us,” he said, “I will rally my friends and family to vote on November 3, or before!”

“So help me God,” he added humorously. “And remember, if you don’t vote—well, let’s just say, it won’t be pretty. So go out and vote!”
