Please Give Me A Break: Obama Brothers Respond to Hunter Biden for Taking Advantage of Joe

Former Obama Aides Criticize Hunter Biden

On Monday, former aides to President Obama, John Lovett and Tommy Vietor, took aim at Hunter Biden, suggesting that he has financially benefited from his connection to Barack Obama.

During an appearance on “Monday Interview,” Hunter responded to accusations from Lovett, Vietor, and John Favreau, who is known for hosting “Pod Save America.” Hunter stated, “He has made millions of dollars for years.” Lovett and Vietor countered in their podcast, claiming that Hunter’s actions are “glyfting” and detrimental to his father, President Joe Biden.

Lovett remarked, “It must be very difficult to see Hunter Biden eat all these people in someone’s name,” while playing a clip that featured Hunter’s comments and included critiques of other former Obama staffers.

Vietor further elaborated, “Yes, okay, what if we just stipulate for hypothesis, as all your business transactions were on the board and were legal? [President Donald] Trump is even worse. You were on the Burisma board because of who your dad was.” He implied this was a significant issue.

Hunter’s first art sale through a professional dealer coincidentally occurred on December 11, 2020, shortly after his father was elected President.

Lovett added, “[O]All we know is that Hunter Biden was a terrible responsibility for him throughout Joe Biden’s presidency. Put your addiction aside—because he was in Burisma. Because he became an artist. Because, like Tommy said, he was part of sorts of mean Washington, the kind of sleazy people hated. You should be embarrassed by the way you made your father’s political life worse. And, like, we’re the idea of listening to you now. That’s ridiculous.”

In 2014, Hunter joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas firm. Devon Archer, a former board member, stated in Congress that Burisma leveraged the “Biden family brand” for protection.

Initially, Hunter was an attorney for the company. However, his relationship with Burisma’s owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, led to his promotion to the board just a short time later. The House Committee on Surveillance provides a timeline regarding these dealings.

Zlochevsky, described in FBI files as a Ukrainian oligarch, allegedly referred to Joe Biden as the “Big Guy.” During the 2014-15 tax year, Burisma reportedly paid Hunter over $80,000 monthly for his board position, according to bank records.
