New Heights Podcast Breaks Records
The podcast “New Heights” has truly made a name for itself recently.
Just 16 hours after dropping a much-anticipated episode featuring Travis Kelce and his brother, the YouTube uploads have already racked up 10 million views—and it’s still climbing.
The buzz about Swift’s guest appearance began when Travis shared a post hinting at a surprise guest, leading many to speculate it could be Swift.
Later that evening, it was confirmed to be none other than the pop superstar. By early Tuesday morning, the podcast’s social media revealed that Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, was set to release her twelfth album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Data from social media management tool Metricool showed that, within just 12 hours, the posts garnered 4.5 million likes. That’s an engagement rate of 145%—quite impressive!
In comparison, typical Instagram posts usually see engagement rates ranging from 0.5% to about 0.69%, depending on the post type.
The podcast reveal sent waves through the internet. Kate Rinklark even anticipated its impact a few hours before it aired. Unfortunately, it experienced glitches about an hour and 44 minutes in, causing disruptions for over a million listeners.
The show returned at 12:37 AM on August 14, thanks to YouTube, with the “New Heights” account sharing the enthusiastic message, “We Are Back!!!”
During her surprise appearance, Swift opened up about her new album and shared details about her relationship with Travis, which began in 2023.
She reminisced about how they met and echoed some awkward moments from their first date. Swift also recounted her initial thoughts on Jason during a Chiefs game and admitted to developing a newfound love for football.
It’s clear that the Taylor Swift effect has made waves on the “New Heights” show, similar to the buzz around the NFL over the past couple of years.
Swift’s presence has turned Chiefs games into events where fans eagerly await glimpses of her—resulting in rising ticket sales for those hoping to catch her in action.
For instance, during the 2023 matchup between the Chiefs and Jets on October 1, NBC Sunday Night Football pulled in around 27 million viewers, marking a 22% increase from the corresponding week in 2022.
Moreover, once the 2023 NFL season kicked off, Travis’s jersey merchandise sales surged by an astonishing 400%, making him one of the top five selling jerseys in the league.
