California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is seeking an additional $2.8 billion in loans to maintain the state's Medicaid plan, Medi-Cal, to cover a program that expanded to include illegal aliens for free, last week, for $3.444 billion.
As Breitbart News reported in 2022, “From January 1, 2024, illegal aliens living in California will be eligible for taxpayer-funded health insurance.
Newsom boasted: “With these new investments [sic]California will be the first state to achieve universal access to the scope of healthcare. ”
However, as pointed out last week by Breitbart News, the lack of cash was forced to borrow $3.444 billion to cover the program's shortage of cash.
now, Politics ReportNewsom has been forced to ask for more money to save Medi-Cal, bringing the requested amount to over $6 million.
The Gov. Gavin Newsom administration is calling for an additional $2.8 billion soon to Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program, in addition to the recently proposed $3.44 billion loan.
The new budget figures laid out to state lawmakers on Monday showed that after the administration proposed last week, the state would need to allocate additional funds from the General Fund to fully cover the medical bill by the end of the year.
The figures also show that the biggest contributor to Medi-Cal Hall this year is undocumented immigrant insurance, costing $2.7 billion more than the state had planned.
Other blue states have also discovered that adding illegal immigrants to the Medicaid program is destroying them. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is trying to cut illegal foreigners, ages 42 to 64, from their plans as the state faces a major fiscal deficit.
California State Sen. Carl Demaio said Breitbart News Sunday That Medi-Cal is insolvent and cannot pay the provider.
Newsom recently featured podcasting despite many financial and natural disasters in his state.
