Police find human remains near middle school in relation to Scott's disappearance following King’s arrest.

The Philadelphia police are looking into the disappearance of beauty queen Kadda Scott, and they found a body, thought to be hers, buried in a shallow grave behind an abandoned school.

This unsettling find occurred on Saturday morning at the closed Ada H. Lewis Middle School in East Germantown. Authorities received a specific tip the night before, which led them to the location, as reported.

As per the police, while conducting a search on the property, they uncovered a shallow grave and retrieved a body they believe to be Kadda Scott’s.

This is, without a doubt, a tragic turn of events. The police expressed their condolences to Scott’s family in this tough time, assuring that they are determined to find out what happened and to serve justice.

The police were directed to the scene by an anonymous call. The site features a large parking lot and a wooded area that separates the former middle school from Parkway Northwest High School, which is still in operation.

Investigators carefully examined the area, clearing away some debris to find fresh soil and noticed an unusual odor.

A witness revealed that they noticed fresh soil and, upon digging, encountered maggots and a strange smell emitting from the ground.

While authorities suspect the remains belong to Scott, they are awaiting confirmation from the medical examiner.

Scott was last seen on October 4, 2025, after finishing her shift at The Terrace, an assisted living facility in Chestnut Hill, around 9:30 p.m.

It’s believed she met someone after leaving work but hasn’t been heard from since.

A previous lead had led the police to discover Scott’s car, a 1999 Toyota Camry, abandoned near a school parking lot.

Scott’s vehicle showed signs of damage, and personal items like her cell phone case and debit card were located nearby.

Recently, 21-year-old Keon King was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including kidnapping and tampering with evidence.

As of Sunday, there haven’t been any formal charges filed in connection with Scott’s death yet.

King faced earlier charges of kidnapping in January, accused of stalking Scott and unlawfully detaining her, but those charges were dropped after the victim didn’t appear in court.

Following Scott’s disappearance, the charges were reinstated against King.

The prosecution acknowledged their earlier mistake in dropping the initial charges, admitting they could have handled the situation more effectively.

King managed to secure his release on a $200,000 bail initially, paying just 10%. Now, he is being held on a much higher bail of $2.5 million related to Scott’s case.
