Porsche has officially unveiled the new Taycan, an electric sedan that the automaker calls its “most powerful” yet.
The new models, the four-seat Taycan Turbo GT and its sister model, the two-seat Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package, are both scheduled to be available to consumers “this spring,” the company said.
Porsche says the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package has a top speed of 190 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.2 seconds.

The development driver recorded a lap time of 1 minute 27.87 seconds at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in February, making it the “fastest mass-produced electric vehicle.” He recently set a record at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit.

The Taycan Turbo GT is also fast, able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, according to Porsche. Top speed reaches 180 miles per hour.

The company first began offering its Taycan series of electric sports cars about five years ago. The Turbo GT will join a number of his Taycan, Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo models that the company already produces.

The company said it delivered more than 40,600 Taycan models last year. This is nearly 12.7% of the more than 320,200 deliveries of all vehicle types recorded by the company in 2023.
