Police say a dancer at a vegan strip club in Portland stabbed a man who worked as a DJ at the club earlier this month. The alleged stabbing was reportedly captured on surveillance camera.
On the night of December 8, a dancer at Casa Diablo Vegan Strip Club allegedly attacked Duncan Allen from behind with a knife. Allen has been a DJ at Portland clubs for more than a decade.

Police identified 29-year-old Peyton Lathan as the assailant.

oregonian Police reported finding Lathan “hiding in the bushes” near a strip club. Police found two knives near Lathan, one of which had “red smudges on the tip,” according to the arrest affidavit.
“During the arrest, Lathan continued to state that he was claiming to be in a state of insanity,” court documents state.
Lathan was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Allen said an ambulance arrived six minutes after the stabbing. He claimed that if the ambulance had arrived a few minutes later, blood would have rushed into his lungs and he would have died.
“I need to get out of the hospital. I need to put my feet on the grass, stare at the sky for half an hour, close my eyes, hold my dog, and just be grateful to be alive.”
Allen suffered a collapsed lung and required surgery at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
“At that point I didn't realize I had been stabbed, and then I took a breath and realized my left lung had collapsed,” Allen said.
Allen was stabbed twice in the back and once in the left armpit.
Club owner Johnny Diablo Jucre said Lathan had worked at the strip club off and on for about 10 years and was shocked by the violence.
“She was always a little unwell, but she never showed any violent tendencies,” Jukure said. “She definitely had mental health issues. I think she was going to kill someone and it just happened to be Duncan. Come to think of it, she was in the dressing room for about 10 minutes. When she was there, she looked like she was possessed by a demon.”
Lathan was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center. She was charged with two counts of felony assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Allen added: “She may have cracked my ribs. She may have stabbed my kidney. She may have stabbed me in the neck. She may have stabbed me in the spine. I think so,” he added. In fact, she should face the maximum charges because this was premeditated. ”
Lathan pleaded guilty last summer to criminal mischief with criminal damage to property, according to court records. As part of his probation, Lathan was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and pay more than $1,000 in restitution.
