The Post’s Mark Cannizaro offers his predictions for this week’s British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland.
Ludwig Aberg
Sure, he had a disappointing finish at the Scottish Open last week after a great start, but he’s in top form, fearless and extremely talented.
He will complete the deal this week, unlike last week.
This young man has played in a Ryder Cup before playing in his first major tournament, the first time anyone has ever done that.
He is truly excellent.
Cameron Young
He’s still searching for his first PGA Tour victory after 69 starts, but some will argue he should have won the 2022 St. Andrews Open, where he finished runner-up.
He finished tied for eighth at Hoylake last year.
Young is a great links golfer and rightly so.

Rory McIlroy
He seems to be competing for the championship every week.
It would be 10 years before he won a major championship.
And he appears to have recovered from the shock of his loss at the U.S. Open.
Adam Scott
True, he turns 44 this week, but the Scot continues to perform well, as evidenced by his runner-up finish at the Scottish Open last week.
The result has certainly boosted his confidence heading into this week.
Robert McIntyre
Having won the National Open last week, the Scottish pride could well be in the running to win at Troon this week – depending on how quickly the whiskey they downed to celebrate last week’s win wears off.
