Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) posted a message to X offering prayers for President Trump.
“I ask all of you to join me in praying for President Trump and everyone who was there at the rally. I hope that you are all safe,” Vance said.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), the other vice presidential candidate, also said he was praying for Trump and everyone who attended the rally.
Both Rubio and Vance posted photos of Trump with a bloodied face, fists raised and surrounded by Secret Service agents.
Gov. Doug Burgum, RN.D., also posted on X about the incident.
“We all know President Trump is stronger than his opponents, and today he showed that,” he said.
