Progeru CEO Marissa Streit cataloged US Department of Education corruption during Tuesday's episode. Alex Marlow Show He then explained why the department should be demolished.
Streit began by telling Breitbart News editor Alex Marlow that he fears many people are afraid to mistakenly believe “when government is shrinking.”
“When they hear there's a conversation about the demolition of the Department of Education, they think it means there's no more education in America.
Progeru CEO explained in detail:
I think that's true for people who are very concerned [about] “What will the Ministry of Education do? And do we need it too?” This is a great opportunity to clarify. Did the United States spend $268 billion last year? The Ministry of Education spent it. And where does the money go? Does it really depend on creating curriculum, content, or better teachers, or better services? The answer is: It is basically a huge bureaucracy with 4,400 employees sitting there and writing checks, then repeating another shadow government with 48,000 members working for the monster.
Looking at literacy rates, mathematics rates are what everyone knows who sends their kids to government schools – they know that kids aren't doing well. And when you think about those numbers, you have to come to the conclusion that if you ask yourself, “Where does money go?” the answer is corrupt.
“One of the worst areas we've seen corruption in America is in the Department of Education,” Streit says.
“But we care so much about our kids. We know that education is important, so as long as we throw money blindly, we've been manipulated,” said Pragel CEO.
Streit went on to say that in imbuing the injury, the bureaucrats “refusing to even give us any sense of what is going on.”
“There's no transparency, no accountability,” she said. “When you dare to ask questions about where your money is heading, they just attack you. You have to raise your eyebrows and say, 'Is there anything creepy here?” And my answer is: yes. ”
“The only way to cleanse such a bureaucracy is to completely dismantle it,” Streit concluded.
