Spencer Pratt Meets with President Trump Amid Legal Action

Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt recently had a meeting with President Donald Trump at the Oval Office. This visit came shortly after Pratt announced his intention to pursue legal action related to the significant damages caused by the California wildfires in 2025.

Pratt’s announcement indicated that he is collaborating with an unexpected ally, Kenneth Bass—who is the brother of the current Democratic Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass. Together, they are initiating a lawsuit against the city’s government, addressing claims of egregious municipal negligence in response to the January 2025 wildfire in Pacific Palisades. This disaster led to the destruction of thousands of homes, including Pratt’s own residence.

Both Pratt and Bass lost their homes to the catastrophic fire, prompting them to join a larger lawsuit with other affected property owners against the city and the Department of Water and Power (DWP). The lawsuit asserts that inadequate management of infrastructure and emergency response significantly contributed to the disaster, according to reports from the LA Times.

Sharing the news on social media, Pratt expressed his motivation for joining the lawsuit is to combat the negligence that resulted in their lost homes.

Following his meeting with Trump, Pratt posted a photo of his son inside the Oval Office with the president. Pratt reflected on this experience, linking his strong commitment to activism to his role as a father. He mentioned that the love he has for his son drives him to advocate for his community and the country.

“You must love your country the way you love your child. Unconditional love,” Pratt shared on X, underlining his dedication to the civil issues in California. He emphasized, “I will never stop fighting for my community.”

This meeting followed months of public exchanges between Pratt and the president. During the primary campaign, Trump often praised Pratt’s political journey, calling him a “character” and expressing interest in his success. However, Pratt ultimately finished third in the primary, unable to reach the November runoff against Mayor Karen Bass and challenger Nithya Raman. Notably, Trump has contested the election results, claiming they were fraudulent.

In various statements, Trump criticized the integrity of the California voting system, suggesting that mail-in ballots distorted the results. He maintained, “No way this could have happened. Rigged Election! You have a really rigged vote in California.”

The specifics of the dialogue between Trump and Pratt during their Oval Office meeting remain undisclosed, as neither the White House nor Pratt released detailed accounts of their discussion.
