Spencer Pratt Sparks Controversy with Allegations Against LA Officials
Former reality television personality and conservative candidate for Los Angeles mayor, Spencer Pratt, has stirred the political waters by claiming he has recordings that could force current Mayor Karen Bass or City Council member Nitya Raman to resign. This surprising announcement was made during a three-minute video shared on social media, marking his first public comments since finishing third in the world championships on June 2. Although the primary election has concluded, Pratt did not make it to the November runoff.
In the video, Pratt expressed his views on systemic corruption and criticized the city’s handling of the devastating Palisades fire in 2025. He suggested that now that the “campaign part” is over, he plans to take a more aggressive stance in exposing city leadership.
“You think you can get rid of me that easily? A lot of you probably thought I’d be done if I didn’t get into City Hall. But that’s not the case. I’m here for political power. I didn’t participate just to expose a corrupt machine, and nothing’s changed. You’re stuck in pointless meetings at City Hall. I’m going to make sure you know I’m here every day. Now I’m on CNN. Don’t worry about what your audience thinks; it’s war now,” Pratt declared in the video.
Pratt directly addressed Bass and Raman, insinuating that disgruntled staffers might be recording them engaging in questionable behavior. He stressed that he hoped both officials would lie awake at night, fearing that federal agents might soon raid their offices.
This warning comes after a tense atmosphere following the primary election, where Bass and Raman were the top two candidates to advance to the general election. The vote-counting process faced scrutiny, with some social media users and conservative commentators alleging voter fraud, even pointing out a brief moment where it appeared Pratt received zero votes out of 24,000 cast.
While these claims were later dismissed, Pratt used the post-election turmoil to further his agenda, citing delays in data reporting. He argued that stepping back from the campaign would free him from campaign finance regulations, allowing him to focus on dismantling corrupt political systems.
Additionally, Pratt linked suspicious activity to his political endeavors, revealing an odd fire at the Pacific Palisades location of his business, Pratt Daddy Crystals. The fire occurred shortly after his video targeting Bass and Raman was published. The Los Angeles Fire Department’s Arson Division is now investigating the incident.
“I’m trying not to affect the arson investigation, but this situation raises a lot of questions,” Pratt mentioned after the video went live. “The timing feels off, especially considering the recent election controversies,” he added.
