A predator pretending to be an immigration agent dragged the 51-year-old woman into a basement in downtown Brooklyn and tried to rape her before robbing her in a Tuesday morning encounter, officers said.
The woman was waiting for a taxi in the lobby of the Montague and Henry Street building at about 10:50 a.m. when he approached her and claimed he was an immigration officer, authorities said.
He reportedly dragged the woman into the elevator and took her to the basement, police sources said.
So he punched the woman in his face and knocked her to the ground, the source said.
He is said to have taken off the women's pants and underwear afterwards.
The vicious attacker then grabbed the woman's chain, cell phone and wallet before fleeing to Henry Street on Montague Street.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for cuts in her face, wounds and bruises, but was listed in stable condition, authorities said.
Investigators believe the woman may have been targeted because of her ethnicity or race, sources said.
The footage released by NYPD shows a suspect Perv wearing a blue jacket, a black sweatshirt with the hood lifted up, and white sneakers as he walked the sidewalk.
