President Trump to Reveal 2027 NFL Draft Location in Washington DC: Report

On Sunday, reports emerged that President Donald Trump is set to declare the National Mall in Washington, D.C., as the official site for the 2027 NFL Draft.

The formal announcement will take place Monday at 1 p.m. (Related: Commander returns to D.C. after completing a new $4 billion stadium deal)

During this announcement, which will also feature NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, Trump is expected to unveil details about the draft’s new location. Initial reports came after some teasing from the White House.

Since 2015, the NFL has rotated host cities annually, with Radio City Music Hall in New York City being a historic venue. The last draft was held in Green Bay, and the upcoming 2026 event will be in Pittsburgh.

The recent news aligns with plans from the D.C. government to construct a new stadium, which would serve as an alternative to RFK Stadium.

It’s easy to imagine that this will be an event filled with red, white, and blue… Could we be on the brink of a truly American NFL draft experience?
