Trump Honors Fallen Soldiers with Grieving Families on Air Force One

President Donald Trump delivered a heartfelt tribute to Army Lt. Col. Tyler James Feehan during an event at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. He shared that he had invited Feehan’s grieving family aboard Air Force One following a dignified transfer ceremony held earlier at Dover Air Force Base.

Earlier that day, Trump had met Feehan’s parents, Shari and Stephen, as well as his uncle, David, at the transfer ceremony for four U.S. service members who were killed in Jordan, including Feehan.

While addressing the crowd, Trump noted he had learned that his family would also join them in Georgia. “I said, ‘If you want, I’ll put you on Air Force One,'” he told the audience, adding that it was a memorable experience for them.

Feehan’s family expressed their gratitude despite being heartbroken, with Trump commenting, “They couldn’t believe it. They live just a few minutes away.” Trump emphasized how important it was to him and noted that he felt honored to have them there.

Lt. Col. Tyler Feehan, aged 25, from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, was among the service members who lost their lives while supporting U.S. operations abroad. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Private Isabella Gonzalez, 19, from Carrollton, Texas, was also among the deceased, as confirmed by U.S. Central Command.

During the transfer ceremony, Trump mentioned that he reviews the biographies of fallen service members. He described Feehan as an outstanding officer with a bright future ahead. As he expressed his condolences, Trump said that remembering the families of the fallen is one of the most challenging parts of his presidency, highlighting that he wishes to honor their memories.

As Trump concluded his remarks, he turned to Feehan’s mother, saying, “Shari, he’s looking down here. He’s very proud now.” The audience supported this sentiment with applause, showing their compassion for the family.

Trump’s visit to Georgia aimed to promote his administration’s initiatives, including the Trump Account program, designed to help families save for their children’s futures as part of what he termed America’s “Golden Age.”
