Liberty County, Texas – The Multi-Agency Task Force has responded to tips on the massive amounts of methamphetamine being trafficked in Plum Grove, Texas. The targeted traffic stop arrested three illegal aliens who had been previously deported and seized nearly 350 pounds of methamphetamine.
Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Radar said his drug troops worked with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Houston Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Department to implement enforcement action on Feb. 12 near Plum Grove. I posted the book on Facebook.
During a traffic stop in a white panel van, investigators identified the driver as Gerson Lopez Zuniga. They identified his passengers as Guruz Isidro Sandoval and Adan Aguirrel Alzate, all residents of Liberty County. All three residents were identified as illegally present in the United States, according to a sheriff's report.
Investigators discovered that driver Zuniga was illegally possessing a semi-automatic handgun, the sheriff said. Sandoval, one of the passengers, reportedly told the task force about the massive amount of methamphetamine found in a nearby camper van trailer.
Investigators got permission to search the trailer and found 12 iceberg lettuce boxes containing about 344 pounds of methamphetamine.
During a background investigation into the three suspects, authorities determined that all three illegal aliens had been deported at least four times.
Sandavol is currently facing first-degree felony charges of manufacturing/delivery of more than 400 grams of controlled substances. The two passengers have been jailed for immigrants and have been excluded from the Houston Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

The site of the attack is located in a suspected migrant colony named Colony Ridge.
