An illegal immigrant who was previously deported from the United States has been charged with raping a child in Campbell County, Virginia.
A 21-year-old illegal immigrant, Haider Pedro Javier Sakur Karl, was arrested. Paid The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office filed a case of rape of a minor.
The day before Sakul Kar’s arrest, the sheriff’s office began investigating a child rape case in Campbell County. Investigators were led to the illegal alien, who they said had previously been deported from the United States.
“Due to this being an active investigation, the Sheriff’s Office does not plan to release additional details related to the incident,” Campbell County Sheriff Whit Clark said in a statement.
“We are particularly sensitive to the fact that these crimes involve young juveniles within our community,” Clark said. “As with any criminal investigation conducted by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, maintaining the integrity of the case is a priority for our department and the Campbell County Commonwealth’s Attorney.”
Sakul Kar remains in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bail.
