Pro-Life Spider-Man Sentenced in Las Vegas Stunt Case

A judge in Nevada has issued a 45-day suspended prison sentence to a man who calls himself the “pro-life Spider-Man” for an act that authorities claim resulted in significant damage. Maison Des Champs, aged 26, climbed the Sphere in Las Vegas in February 2024, causing what local officials estimate to be tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

Des Champs pleaded guilty to a felony charge of endangering safety and was sentenced to 364 days in jail, though he will only serve 45 days, along with a year of probation. Currently in custody, he is expected to be released around June 4, 2026, based on prison records.

Additionally, he has been ordered to pay over $77,000 in restitution to Sphere Entertainment Company. The damages from his stunt are reported to be around $100,000, according to local news.

On February 7, 2024, Des Champs climbed the 366-foot landmark as part of a fundraiser for anti-abortion causes, which he famously livestreamed. His stated goal was to support a pregnant woman named Isabelle, through a campaign organized by the nonprofit organization Let Them Live.

He described the mission on his fundraising page as aimed at providing both practical support and community awareness for Isabelle. According to reports, the fundraiser ended up netting more than $47,000, revealing that Isabelle was facing homelessness and an imminent abortion procedure at the time of the climb.

Des Champs has a history of similar climbs for fundraising purposes, often linked to helping pregnant women. Earlier, in 2023, he scaled the 40-story Chase Tower in Phoenix to raise money for a similar cause, expressing his ambition to demonstrate “how to overcome fear and have faith.” He also climbed a 42-story skyscraper in Chicago as part of another fundraiser later that same year.

He officially pleaded guilty in October 2025 regarding the Las Vegas incident, with the case concluding with a verdict on April 20th.
