Pro Wrestler Richard Holliday to Attend ‘Battle for the Brave’ Event
Richard Holliday, recognized as pro wrestling’s “Most Marketable Man,” is set to showcase his skills on June 6th at “Battle for the Brave: Wrestling Showcase for Heroes” in Rahway, New Jersey.
The event, which features TNA Wrestling star and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Steve Maclin alongside Ring of Honor pure champion Deonna Purrazzo, will support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
In a recent conversation, Holliday shared his thoughts on participating in the event. “It’s a great cause,” he remarked. “How can I say no to that? I’m really proud of what Steve and Deonna are doing, and I’m excited to be part of it.” He added that it’s just a great opportunity.
He reminisced about an event he organized in August 2025, which he called Narcissistic Behavior. It garnered attention as one of the best independent shows of the year, and he feels confident that the upcoming event will be just as impressive. “I believe they are bringing in the Hardy Boyz for this. Oh my gosh, it promises to be fantastic,” he noted.
Holliday will be competing in the Battle for the Brave Cup, a 12-person gauntlet match that begins as a battle royale and concludes with just two participants remaining.
Alongside other stars like Megan Bain and BDE, Maclin confirmed his involvement earlier this week. “People keep asking me why I wouldn’t want to wrestle on my own show, especially for such a meaningful cause,” he said. “So, I will be entering the Battle of the Brave Memorial Cup as the No. 1 participant.” He mentioned that it’s this ultimate battle where the final match features the last two contestants standing.
“I’m tackling the tough road by being the first, trying my hardest to make it to the end,” he emphasized.
The Hardy brothers also expressed their enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We are thrilled to be headlining this special event, ‘Tunnel to Towers.’ This organization supports those injured in the line of duty, including military, first responders, and law enforcement.” They expressed their gratitude for the ongoing efforts of these individuals, looking forward to raising significant funds.
