Restructuring at Arabella Advisors
A new public interest corporation has taken over the financial sponsorship branch of Arabella Advisors, a group known for financing left-leaning initiatives. As a result, Arabella Advisors will “cease operations,” according to a recent announcement.
The new entity, Sunflower Services, has stepped in to manage a funding structure that supports Democratic causes. This shift comes with backing from several left-leaning organizations, including the New Venture Fund, Windward Fund, and Hopewell Fund. This restructuring aligns with changes following billionaire Bill Gates ending his financial support to Arabella Advisors.
Alan Williams, the CEO of Sunflower Services, expressed confidence that the organization’s mission will continue uninterrupted. “Our business is built to last and is rooted in our shared values and long-term vision,” he stated.
Arabella Advisors was previously known for managing a network of organizations that advocated for various liberal causes, including voter registration efforts. The Arabella Network also funded many left-leaning activist groups, often disguised as grassroots movements.
Additionally, two entities within the Arabella Network are connected to a political action committee that’s working to challenge Republican Congressman Mark Greene in a special election scheduled for December 2.
In the past, Arabella Advisors had financed research that identified conservative online speech as “misinformation” and proposed censorship as a response. However, such measures seemed to lose traction during the Trump administration.
Now, as reported, Sunflower Services will serve various nonprofit initiatives, including the New Venture Fund and others. “We are investing in Sunflower because we believe that social justice organizations equipped with top-tier infrastructure can concentrate on building power and effecting change,” said Anna Brower, president of the Hopewell Foundation.
