Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have reportedly gained momentum in a contentious City Hall meeting, with some Republicans in Congress expressing concerns.
Nancy Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, stated in an interview with “NewsNation Now” that the duo’s stance against President Trump’s efforts to dismantle the federal government has resonated with the public.
They are indeed capitalizing on the economy’s higher priority on the list, unlike what President Trump and Elon Musk, a billionaire, have suggested. Green further added that the funds frozen by Trump in his second term have gone a long way in uniting people.
According to Green, the progressive rally held by Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez settles well with voters who are reaching out and are never satisfied with the messages they receive from their representatives in Congress.
