Protester at Yankee Stadium Identified
A protester who ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium during a game commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks has been revealed to be a self-identified “revisionist Marxist” from Long Island.
Kelly Marcucci, 38, is facing misdemeanor charges for interfering with a professional sporting event and trespassing, as reported by the New York Police Department and the New York Post.
Marcucci allegedly leaped from the stands and dashed onto the field during the seventh inning of Friday’s Yankees-Mets game, around 9:11 p.m., before security apprehended him in center field.
As he was being restrained, fans reacted by chanting “USA!”
Prior to the incident, Marcucci shared a lengthy rant on Facebook covering a range of topics including capitalism, Zionism, and the September 11 attacks. He also referenced former President Donald Trump and podcast host Joe Rogan.
In a video he posted from inside the stadium, Marcucci can be seen wearing a custom Yankees jersey inscribed with “K. Marcucci,” and a slogan “No Kings,” which has been associated with anti-Trump protests.
His social media profiles describe him as a journalist and a “spiritual tactician,” with a degree from Stony Brook University. On Instagram, he frequently shares conspiracy theories, discussions about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and videos featuring political commentator Candace Owens.
In a post regarding New York City’s 2025 mayoral election, Marcucci provided what he called a spiritual analysis of candidates Andrew Cuomo and Zohran Mamdani, suggesting that it was more about the energy influencing New York City than just the candidates themselves.
He also has an inactive OnlyFans profile that he claimed was created humorously.
In his online biography, Marcucci states, “Politically, I identify as a revisionist-Marxist, and the core values of this expression are very important to me.” He later expressed his love for the United States and stated he considers himself “an ally to the Jewish cause.”
The stunt has sparked considerable backlash online, with many critics accusing Marcucci of being disrespectful to the victims of the September 11 attacks.
