In Minnesota, conservative influencer Nick Souter found himself in a tense situation on Sunday when protesters opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surrounded his car, shouting insults and aggression.
Souter shared a video on X, revealing that he had to quickly drive away after someone smashed his window and protesters encircled his vehicle. He described the chaotic moment: “They then used their vehicles to block us, forcing me off the road to escape,” he recounted. There were even claims of being chased down the interstate by another individual.
In another video, graffiti was seen on the back of his truck, and he retrieved a frozen water bottle, which he alleged had been thrown by the protesters. Throughout the encounter, Souter reported that he and fellow influencer Cam Higbee received threats, yet both emerged unhurt and expressed gratitude toward the Eagan Police Department for their help.
Protests have occurred across various cities, including Los Angeles, Portland, and New York, following the death of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Reports from the Department of Homeland Security suggest that Good had a deadly weapon and may have attempted to run over an officer.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under federal investigation, with public opinion divided. Some believe the officer acted in self-defense, while others question the DHS narrative, raising wider concerns about the use of force by ICE agents.
