Protests against Israel at Park East Synagogue: Correspondence

Issue: Protests Against Nefesh Bunefesh at Park East Synagogue

Zoran Mamdani expressed that individuals should be able to visit places of worship without facing intimidation. However, he believes that these venues shouldn’t be used to “promote activities that contradict international law” (“Synagogue Hate Rally,” November 21).

Nefesh Bunefesh, which was having a meeting inside the synagogue, is a legitimate organization supporting immigration to Israel. They are recognized as a non-profit.

It seems that, because Mamdani considers Israel to be an illegitimate Jewish state, he views promoting Jewish immigration as something unlawful.

His open disdain for Israel and Jewish people is evident.

The violent incident at the Park East Synagogue foreshadowed what could unfold following the openly anti-Semitic and pro-BDS Democratic Party, led by Mamdani and other far-left figures, coming into power.

Mamdani seems to overlook that a central theme of the Bible is the return of Jews to the Holy Land. Efforts to realize this do not breach international law.

Should the upcoming Muslim mayor not understand others’ religions in America?

This wasn’t just an act of free speech or protest.

This felt like a testing ground for what extremists might attempt next. It’s likely to escalate.

We need stricter laws to prevent hate gatherings near places of worship.

Mamdani should realize that if Jews choose to move to Israel, it doesn’t mean we’ve just started violating international law. We’ve been navigating these issues for a long time.

A key prayer, the Amida, implores God to “gather us into our land from the four corners of the earth.”

Because of him, it seems we Jews are violating international law every time we’ve tried to settle—something we’ve been doing for about 2,000 years.

It’s not surprising to see this kind of hateful protest. The Muslim Brotherhood seems to be intent on transforming Western societies from within.

From disrupting college campuses to normalizing anti-Semitism, they’re progressing steadily.

Issue: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Announces Resignation from Congress

As an ardent supporter of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, I believe she should immediately retract her resignation (“Shocker! MTG resigns from Congress,” November 22).

During her tenure, she spent time highlighting bureaucratic inefficiencies and voicing the frustrations of many average Americans.

Her questioning of witnesses like Dr. Anthony Fauci and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chiu was quite intense.

Back in 1982, William Safire posed the question, “Who speaks for the average person?” Nowadays, I think the answer would be MTG.

In recent years, I’ve come to see MTG as an eccentric figure.

Her resignation seems tied to a growing dissatisfaction among President Trump and her Congressional colleagues.

She might feel betrayed, but the issues at hand aren’t solely the fault of Trump or her party. They really fall on her.

Taking the role too seriously can be problematic, but I think she perhaps took it a bit too personally.

I wish her success in her future endeavors.
