A prominent New York City psychiatrist named in a bombshell sex-trafficking lawsuit filed this week by an anonymous Jeffrey Epstein accuser is fighting back, denying the allegations as fabricated and motivated by financial gain.

“False accusations are being made against me by lawyers seeking money for the woman with whom I had a consensual, non-disclosure and respectful relationship more than a decade ago when I was a successful professional in my late 20s,” Jarecki, 91, said in a statement released through his lawyer. “I have never engaged in any abusive behavior towards her or anyone else.”

The former model, identified in court documents only as Jane Doe 11, filed a lawsuit this week alleging that Jarecki raped her after she was sent to Epstein’s office complaining of depression.

“I intend to defend these demonstrably false allegations in the appropriate forum,” Jarecki said.

In addition to his medical background, the New York-based psychiatrist is also a longtime Yale professor, author, co-founder of Moviefone, and billionaire metals trader.

Doe came to the US in 2010 to work in the modeling industry and met Epstein shortly after he arrived. She had to keep working to maintain her visa status and stay in the US. When she sought mental health help, according to the lawsuit, the notorious financier referred her to Jarecki, who he described as “the best doctor in New York City.”

The lawsuit alleges the meetings led to years of modern-day sexual slavery, charges Jarecki denies.

“During this initial appointment, Jarecki told Jane Doe 11 he had something that would make her instantly happy,” the lawsuit states. “However, instead of prescribing medication, Jarecki gifted her an expensive watch.”

According to the lawsuit, he then took her to his home in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park neighborhood, where he “forcibly raped her against her will” in her bedroom.

Other allegations include allegations that Jarecki housed Doe in a $5,700 apartment in exchange for sex, though “Jane Doe 11 never consented to such a deal.” She accused Jarecki of raping her “dozens of times” in New York and on a private Caribbean island, and claimed he controlled her life between 2011 and 2014.

“Jarecki obtained every piece of information he could about Jane Doe 11, including her financial and immigration status, and used that knowledge to manipulate and completely control her, coercing her into becoming his modern-day sex slave,” the lawsuit alleges.

Epstein, a former teacher who made hundreds of millions of dollars in finance and was friends with influential academics, business leaders and even presidents, died in a federal prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Investigators ruled his death a suicide but discovered serious errors at the facility where his body was found.

In January, a New York federal court unsealed hundreds of documents as part of a lawsuit brought by Epstein’s prominent accuser, Virginia Giuffre, shedding new light on the man’s social circle.
