This NYC Bathroom is Gaining Attention

A notable bathroom in New York City has been recognized in the competition for the 2025 America’s Best Toilet Award by Cintas Corporation. After narrowing down to nine finalists, the luxurious bathroom located on the rooftop of Pier 17 in Manhattan made the cut.

Anyone familiar with New York knows that finding a clean bathroom can be a bit of a challenge. However, the toilets at this venue are described as “luxury” rather than just average.

It’s worth noting that while Pier 17 is a scenic concert venue, the bathroom access is limited to events and performances. So, don’t expect to pop in any time—it’s not an everyday stop.

If you happen to be in the area during an event, it’s definitely worth a look.

Situated at South St. 89, Pier 17 offers breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline complemented by ample natural light and large windows.

This bathroom has even inspired long lines. The judges highlighted its quality, mentioning the spacious atmosphere that includes 75 food stalls, smooth concrete walls, and soft lighting—all contributing to a “clean and modern” vibe.

Accessibility is also a strong point, with family-friendly features and ADA-compliant sinks receiving positive feedback.

The criteria for choosing finalists included factors like cleanliness, visual appeal, and innovative design elements. It’s no surprise that the Pier 17 bathroom made the list, being well appreciated for its unique charm.

The judges suggested that these facilities provide a “thoughtful extension of the luxury rooftop experience,” offering a ventilated and open atmosphere.

Public voting is encouraged until 11:59 a.m. ET on Friday, August 15th. You can cast your vote for your favorite.

Emily Ramos, Marketing Director at Cintas, noted, “We are looking for toilets that offer more than just functionality; they should provide guests with a memorable, hygienic, and innovative experience.”

For over two decades, this contest has celebrated companies that uphold high standards of toilet cleanliness and design.

Other finalists include Barehead Lake State Park in Minnesota, City of Furuta in Colorado, and multiple others across the country.
