Pundit Says Those Who Can’t Read Charts Call for $589 XRP – The Crypto Basic

Thinking Crypto Podcast founder Tony Edward takes issue with XRP's wild price predictions, sparking a heated debate within the XRP community.

He dismissed numbers like $589 as unrealistic and fantasy-based. Edward set up Conservative price target for XRPpredicting a range of $5 to $8 for this market cycle.

Edwards firmly rejected more extreme predictions, such as oft-repeated targets of $589, $1,000 or even $10,000, while acknowledging that a slight upside is possible.

Therefore, we emphasized the importance of analyzing market trends, on-chain data, and fundamentals when setting expectations.

Community backlash

The tweet prompted a critical response from Xena, an avid XRP supporter. Specifically Xena raised the issue She criticized Edward's views and criticized what she perceived to be the hypocrisy of Edward's position.

She pointed to Edward's extensive XRP content as a driving force behind his platform's success. At the same time, she questioned why so much attention was being paid to the asset when only a modest increase was expected.

“If $5 to $8 is a realistic goal, why focus so much on XRP when we know the community has higher expectations?” Xena asked a question.

Xena reminded Edward that many coins that started at just a few cents have soared into the double and even triple digit range, leaving the possibility that XRP could follow suit.

She also highlighted the unique use cases for XRP and suggested that technical charts alone cannot fully capture its value. For Xena, the community's confidence in XRP is based on its usefulness in transforming cross-border payments, which may justify a higher valuation in the future.

Ultimately, Zena suggested that Edwards may be downplaying XRP's potential to control his own brand and profit from views.

“We're not here for fairy tales.”

edward answered With a mixture of humor and conviction, he dismissed Xena's criticism as an overreaction. He explained that despite his long-standing admiration for XRP and its technology, he refuses to indulge in “fairy tales” or speculative price predictions.

Citing his years of experience in the crypto market, he reiterated his belief that realistic price targets need to be based on data rather than hopes and hype.

“I’m not here for fairy tales, kid. I’ve seen this space filled with conspiracy theories and unrealistic hopes. I respect charts and on-chain data. I will.” edward said.

Undaunted, Xena expressed disappointment at what she sees as Tony's shift from the optimism that initially attracted many to XRP.

She says that XRP's future value will not be determined solely by market charts, but will depend on deeper, often overlooked factors – factors that could push the token to much higher levels than Edward would accept. He argued that it was possible.

Meanwhile, Vet, a prominent XRPL dUNL validator noticed The $589 call is not necessarily a discussion on XRP's target price. According to him, the commentary is more about meeting challenges and striving for greatness.
