Punxsutawney Phil Has Made His Forecast for 2024

Groundhog Day tradition is for Punxsutawney Phil to give his weather forecast for the months ahead in February, and 2024 is no exception. So, what are his predictions for this year?

As always, the choice is clear. If the four-legged wise man comes out of his den and sees his own shadow, then winter will last him six weeks. But even if it doesn’t, early spring is on its way.

Well, today, Friday, the meteorological verdict comes from Punxsutawney Phil: it’s spring!

This prophecy took place as it has on most February 2nds for the past 137 years, with tens of thousands of people gathering at Gobbler’s Knob to hear the famous groundhog’s prophecy.

CBS News report He showed up just before 7:30 a.m. to show the world what was to come for the rest of the winter.

The newspaper said this year’s early spring forecast was unusual, as Phil stood by his prediction of six more weeks of winter.

UPI report Phil has seen his shadow for the past three years and requested that the winters be longer.
