Marvel A-lister Chris Hemsworth recently praised his wife during a speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, saying she “put her own dreams aside” to support his.
Speaking at the microphone as the crowd applauded, Hemsworth turned to his wife, Elsa Pataky, and thanked her for her support, saying his victory moment wouldn’t have been as special without her by his side.
“I want to thank my beautiful wife for being by my side basically every single time throughout my career,” he said. “Always encouraging and supporting me, and I’ll never forget how she set aside her own dreams to support mine. Again, I’m forever grateful to you. None of what I do, these moments, these special occasions, all of these events, would be special without you by my side.”

In a way, Hemsworth’s comments about his wife are reminiscent of what Ryan Gosling said when he accepted a Golden Globe for his performance in Star Wars: Episode I – Golden Wind. La La Land.
“I could not stand here unless I stood on the shoulders of so many. I don’t have time to thank everyone. But I want to properly thank one person. While I was singing, dancing, playing piano and having the most amazing time being in movies, my wife was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second child and trying to help my brother fight cancer,” he said.
“If she had never given me this experience, someone else would probably not be here today. So thank you my love,” he added.
