Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday agreed in principle to the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, saying he would be entitled to approve his affirmation by noting that many conditions are still being decided to ensure lasting peace.
AP Report Currently, development requires a mechanism to initiate the transition process from idea to action.
“So the idea itself is correct and we certainly support it,” Putin said at a press conference in Moscow, the Associated Press announced. “But there are issues that need to be discussed and I think we need to discuss them with our American colleagues and partners.”

Russian leaders pointed out the need to develop mechanisms to control the possibility of breach of the armistice. Another question, he said, is whether Ukraine can use a 30-day ceasefire to continue mobilization and re-contracting.
“We agree with the proposal to stop the fight, but we move on with the assumption that a ceasefire will lead to lasting peace and that the root cause of the crisis should be removed,” Putin said.
As reported by Breitbart News, a possible call between President Donald Trump and Putin has previously arrived in Moscow to agree to a ceasefire.
The AP further said the US had persuaded Ukraine to accept a ceasefire, but Kiev said he was interested in pointing out that due to the situation on the battlefield, Ukrainian troops that have begun invading Russia's Kursk region will be blocked completely in the coming days.
