Tennessee Manhunt After Quadruple Homicide
New details have emerged regarding a Tennessee man suspected in a brutal quadruple homicide, which came to light after authorities discovered a baby abandoned on a front lawn earlier this week.
A manhunt is currently in progress for Austin Robert Drummond, who is believed to have killed 28-year-old James M. Wilson, Adriana Williams, 38-year-old Courtney Rose, and 15-year-old Braydon Williams, as reported by the Dyer County Police Department. The four victims were found in Tiptonville, a town about 125 miles from Memphis, on Tuesday.
“It was a targeted attack,” stated Danny Goodman Jr., Attorney General of Tennessee’s 29th Judicial District, during an interview on “Fox and Friends.” He reassured the community, saying, “I don’t think the community needs to worry as long as it’s a kind of random thing.” It’s a bit chaotic, don’t you think?
Authorities Seek Suspect
Drummond’s victims are connected to his current girlfriend; Rose and Adriana are half-sisters, while the Williams are her nephew and niece. The tragic situation unfolded further with the discovery of a toddler left in a car seat outside a house, where an eyewitness called 911.
“The call came in on Tuesday about babies being dropped on the side of the road,” Goodman said, reflecting the shocking nature of the case.
Following the baby’s discovery, authorities shared images on social media, helping to identify her parents and the victims. It seems that the baby ties all four victims together—such a heartbreaking circumstance.
Goodman also mentioned that Drummond had a criminal history, having been convicted of armed robbery at the age of 17. Currently, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is following some leads in their search for him.
Community Impact
“This is a very sad day for our community,” expressed Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box, emphasizing their commitment to revealing the truth and seeking justice in this horrific case.
Local officials are warning the public to remain vigilant regarding Drummond, who is considered “armed and dangerous.” He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Drummond is believed to be driving a 2016 Audi A3 with a damaged driver’s side and Tennessee license plate RI 01896.
Anyone with information about Drummond’s whereabouts is encouraged to reach out to the Dyer County Police Department at (731)-285-2802 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
