Quarterback Bo Bryan, son of country musician Luke Bryan, pledges to Georgia

Luke Bryan, known for his hits like “Most People are Good,” is facing a shift in his usual Friday night routine. His son, Bo Bryan, has committed to playing college football at the University of Georgia. This news came just days after Bo received the offer from the Bulldogs, coached by Kirby Smart.

Bo also entertained offers from schools like East Tennessee State, North Alabama, UT Martin, and Austin Peay, among others.

“Getting that offer meant everything to me. It was like a dream come true,” Bo shared. “I always believed that if I got that offer, it was where I was meant to be.”

In the 2027 recruiting class, Bo is rated as the 107th overall pocket passer by ESPN, while 247Sports places him as the 143rd QB prospect. He plays for Battle Ground Academy in Tennessee, a team that clinched the II-AA state title in 2025. Last year, he was a backup, but this season, he’s stepped up as the starter. He’s had an impressive run, passing for 2,006 yards, with 30 touchdowns and just three interceptions in eight games, although his season ended prematurely due to an injury.

Being a Georgia fan runs in the family, and Bo has visited Athens multiple times, just like his father.

In an interview with The Tennessean back in August, Bo humorously remarked about his dad’s struggle with understanding the intricacies of football. He recalled a moment when they were discussing plays with the coaching staff. Afterward, Luke would express confusion about the conversation, leading Bo to wonder just how familiar he really is with the sport.
