Mystery Surrounds Cybertruck Detonation Outside Trump Hotel
The enigma behind why Army special forces blew up a Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day thickened with the latest investigative report released by local police on Monday.
A comprehensive 70-page report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms that Matthew Libersberger, a 37-year-old active Green Beret, left a “manifesto” on his cell phone. Interestingly, the Army Corps has classified this document and will not be disclosing it to the public.
Libersberger filled a truck with fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel, detonating it right outside the hotel lobby. Authorities indicated he took his own life simultaneously as the truck ignited.
The blast resulted in injuries to six individuals inside the hotel.
Even though the War Department has decided to keep Libersberger’s manifesto under wraps, the LVMPD report reveals several hints regarding his potential motives.
He reportedly left a note asserting that his shocking act was not an act of terrorism but rather a means to “purify” his mind. He expressed his discontent with what he viewed as the “reckless leadership” of the United States, claiming the country is “nearly collapsing.”
Libersberger stated in a note, “This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake-up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacle and violence. What better way to get your point across than with a stunt involving fireworks and explosives?”
One of his memos was directed to Sean Ryan, a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor. The specifics of this memo remain unpublished, leaving many questions about what led Libersberger to take such drastic action.
The after-action report outlined the police response and the follow-up investigation conducted by multiple agencies, including the U.S. Army Criminal Investigative Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the FBI.
The report classified the explosion as a “planned attack using a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device,” which posed a significant risk for numerous casualties and serious structural damage.
This is breaking news. Please check back for updates.
