Radical Critics Attack Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle Jeans Advertisement as 'Nazi Propaganda'

Frustration is rising among some leftist social media users who have criticized actress Sidney Sweeney, labeling her as “Nazi” after an ad for American Eagle Jeans was released.

In the ad, a beautiful Sweeney engages with potential buyers, discussing her “genes” alongside her jeans, which has drawn attention.

“Genes are inherited from parents, shaping traits like hair color and eye color,” she mentions in the video. With a cheeky tone, she adds, “My jeans are blue.”

The advertisement wraps up with, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

With her blue eyes and blonde hair, Sweeney embodies contemporary beauty standards, provoking reactions from some social media users who allege the ad promotes “Nazi propaganda.”

One user, heavily tattooed and adorned with piercings, exclaimed that the ad should find its place in “a history book,” insisting it was “Nazi propaganda.”

Another commentator, describing herself as obese and with body piercings, noted it wasn’t surprising that an ad from a brand named American Eagle could be linked to “fascist propaganda.”

One extreme viewpoint described the advertisement as promoting “Eugenics,” while also suggesting the brand’s campaigns were designed to “revive the Third Reich.”

A left-leaning woman, who shared an eccentric moment in her video, mentioned that the ad seemed to exclude people of color.

Another individual, who identified as “autistic,” claimed the ads were so reminiscent of Nazi themes that they belonged in history books.

Despite such criticisms, American Eagle has endeavored to be inclusive, featuring advertisements with women of various ethnicities, body types, and sexual orientations.

For instance, in 2019, the brand launched a campaign highlighting plus-size models, promoting their “Curve” jeans line. They have continued their support for diversity, particularly evident during Pride Month.
