Radio host learns lesson the hard way after she admits to using pre-scripted questions to interview Biden: ‘Were sent to me’

A radio host lost his job after admitting to using questions prepared in advance by the Biden campaign in an interview with President Joe Biden.

After his disastrous debate defeat, Biden participated in two radio interviews last week with Wisconsin radio host Earl Ingram and Philadelphia radio host Andrea Lawfull Sanders, whom the Biden campaign specifically chose because of their large black audiences.
According to the New York Times:The campaign had hoped the interview would ease concerns about Biden’s cognitive decline.

“WURD Radio does not represent the Biden Administration or any other administration.”

On Saturday, Lawful Sanders acknowledged on CNN that she had asked Biden a layup question sent to her by Biden’s team.

“The questions were sent to me for approval and I approved them,” she said. “I received a number of questions — eight in total — and the four that were selected are the ones I approved.”

The Biden campaign subsequently tried to downplay the significance of the incident. By arguing that “It’s not uncommon for interviewees to share their favorite topics.”

But the campaign also seemed to be coming at the expense of Lawful Sanders.

“We don’t condition an interview on accepting these questions, and hosts are always free to ask the questions they believe will be most helpful to listeners,” said Lauren Hitt, a spokeswoman for the Biden campaign.

By Sunday, Lawful Sanders and her employer, WURD, had “agreed to separate.”

Sarah Lomax, president and CEO of WURD Radio, said in a statement: said Lawful Sanders’ decision to use pre-prepared questions violated WURD’s corporate policies.

“WURD Radio is an independent voice that our audience can trust to hold elected officials accountable. As the only independent, black-owned talk radio station in Pennsylvania, WURD Radio has built trust with our audience over our 20-year history, and it’s something we take very seriously,” Lomax explained. “Agreeing to a pre-determined set of questions puts that trust at risk and is not something WURD Radio does or endorses as a practice or official policy.”

“WURD Radio does not represent the Biden Administration or any other Administration,” Lomax stated.

Meanwhile, Ingram Check later He also received pre-written questions from Biden’s team, which he acknowledged asking, even though this prevented him from asking his own questions.

“Yes, Biden was given some questions to ask,” Ingraham said, “but I didn’t have a chance to ask everything I wanted to ask.”
