Rafael Furcal charged with launching a dangerous projectile at a occupied car.

Rafael Furcal, a former infielder for the Braves, is now facing a felony charge for allegedly throwing a dangerous object into an occupied vehicle.

The 47-year-old turned himself in at the Broward County Jail in Florida on Wednesday. This follows an incident earlier in the week that has resulted in a battery charge being enhanced due to the involvement of a weapon, as noted in arrest records obtained by the Post.

Furcal has since been released on bond.

Details about the incident remain scarce, leaving many questions unanswered.

Interestingly, Furcal has a history with the law; during his playing career, he was arrested twice and accumulated DUI charges in Georgia back in 2000 and 2004.

Having retired from Major League Baseball in 2015 after a brief stint with the Marlins, Furcal was a notable player, recognized as Rookie of the Year in Atlanta in 2000 and having won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2011.

He ended his professional career with impressive stats: three All-Star appearances, a .281/.346/.402 batting line, along with 314 stolen bases, 69 triples, and 113 home runs.
