Max Crosby Stays with the Raiders Amid Trade Rumors
Max Crosby, a key player for the Raiders, will not be available for trade, as reported on Tuesday. This news comes even as other teams have shown interest in the four-time Pro Bowler, especially with the Raiders facing a tough season at 2-5.
Crosby met with the team recently and expressed his desire to “remain in Las Vegas.”
The 28-year-old defensive end has had a solid start to the season, accumulating 28 tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception over seven games.
Drafted 106th overall from Eastern Michigan in 2019, Crosby has been through quite a bit with the Raiders, especially during a period of change and the challenges of a disappointing season.
The team is in its first season under head coach Pete Carroll, who was brought in to replace Antonio Pierce after a difficult 4-13 season. Pierce had taken over as interim head coach in November 2023 following the midseason firing of Josh McDaniels.
Las Vegas is looking to recover from a 31-0 defeat to the Chiefs during their bye week.
Crosby is expected to return in Week 9 against the Jaguars, although it’s unclear if any of his teammates might be moved in trades.
Meanwhile, receiver Jacobi Meyers is still contemplating a trade after he requested one at the beginning of the season. He shared recently that he’s focused on performing well regardless of the trade circumstances.
Meyers has recorded 29 catches for 329 yards and hasn’t scored a touchdown in six games.
The NFL trade deadline looms on November 4th at 4 p.m.
