Rain drenches NYC on Father's Day, and that's only the start.

Father’s Day in New York City was marked by cloudy, rainy weather.

According to Fox meteorologist Cody Browde, conditions are set to remain dreary from Monday through Wednesday, with highs generally in the upper ’60s to ’70s. He mentioned it feels a lot like today—gloomy with occasional bright spots of rain.

The forecast suggests a downturn on Thursday evening.

Bo noted the possibility of severe weather later in the week, as a cold front moves in from the west.

“We might see storms in the late afternoon, and there’s a chance of damaging winds if it runs into sunset,” he elaborated.

Despite the overcast conditions, many fathers were seen enjoying the day with their families, from Citifield to Coney Island. For instance, 41-year-old Michael Handel stated that the rain wouldn’t spoil his day or his daughter’s first Mets game.

“The weather wasn’t great,” said Handel, originally from Washington Heights and running a kids’ sports program. “It feels like it always rains on weekends.”

Even so, his daughters, Libby, 6, and Molly, 3, were still “excited,” donning colorful raincoats.

“This is definitely a Father’s Day activity I would choose again,” Handel added, referring to their outing. “It’s a wonderful gift.”

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, Dan Lutz, 55, and his son Jason, 12, celebrated their new tradition of riding the iconic Cyclone roller coaster, despite the rain.

“We’ve ridden it many times, but we had to take breaks because the rain can hit hard,” he remarked.

Filmmaker Sebastian Green, 40, from Astoria, was also at Luna Park, where his young sons were busy in the arcade.

“This has turned out to be a fantastic Father’s Day!” Green expressed. “It’s important to show them that a little rain doesn’t mean you can’t have fun.”

Nonetheless, some local business owners were feeling the effects of the dreary weather.

Denny, 70, who sells candy apples and cotton candy, lamented, “This weekend is a total washout! This cold, rainy weather really hurts business.”

He added, “It’s just not the same. Hardly anyone is out here for Father’s Day.”

However, brighter days are on the horizon, as forecasters predict summer-like temperatures looming later in the week, with clear skies and highs hitting the 90s.
