Incident at Wrestling Show Involves Quinton Jackson’s Son
The son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson faced backlash over the weekend following an incident at a professional wrestling event in California. Raja Jackson stepped into the ring during Knokx Pro’s Knokxperience and reportedly assaulted wrestler Syko Stu.
The situation, which was streamed live, saw Raja delivering more than 20 punches after what appeared to be a mishap on his part, leading to a chaotic scene until other wrestlers intervened.
This unexpected display of violence sparked a heated debate on social media. Many viewers criticized Raja’s actions, describing them as excessive. It seems that Syko Stu lost consciousness briefly during the altercation, adding more fuel to the fire of public outrage.
In response, “Rampage” Jackson issued a statement aimed at clarifying his son’s involvement. He mentioned that Syko Stu, whose real name is Stewart Smith, had regained consciousness and was stable following the incident. Raja ended up hitting his head before the match with Smith began, which Jackson categorized as bad judgment on his son’s part.
He stressed that Raja is not a professional wrestler but rather an MMA fighter, and he does not condone what happened. It was noted that Raja had suffered a concussion from a sparring session just days prior, which may have influenced his actions during the wrestling event.
Knokx Pro also addressed the situation in a Facebook post, expressing support for Syko Stu and condemning Raja’s behavior. They stated that the planned wrestling performance turned into a reckless act of violence and emphasized that such incidents should never occur.
Adding to the conversation, WWE star Rusev weighed in with his thoughts on social media, while Syko Stu was recognized as a U.S. military veteran using wrestling as an outlet to manage his PTSD.
Raja Jackson has yet to comment on the incident, though his father has a storied history in professional wrestling, notably with Total Nonstop Action (TNA).
