Ramaswamy Campaign Files Paperwork For Ohio Governor Race

The Vivek Ramaswamy campaign has filed papers to launch a bid for the Ohio governor.

According to Fox News DigitalRamaswamy's campaign submitted the designation of the form of treasurer to the Ohio Secretary of State. The submitted form is one of the requirements for a campaign before the candidate makes or receives a contribution.

Ramaswamy has not officially announced his run for the governor of Ohio, but at various points he hints at it.

“The big announcement in Ohio is coming on February 24th. It's not your usual governor's dog and pony show,” the Ohio candidate said. New York Post Saturday.

According to the Associated Press, Ramaswamy is scheduled to launch its campaign on February 24thth Cincinnati CTL Aerospace Inc.

The submission comes a month after it was announced that Ramaswamy has left President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.

Trump Vance's transition spokesman Anna Kelly said Fox News The Ramaswamy “played an important role in helping us make doges.”

“He is going to run for the elected office soon, which requires him to be outside of Doge, based on the structure he announced today,” Kelly explained. “We are extremely grateful for his contributions over the past two months and hope that he will play an important role in making America great again.”

The governor race will take place in 2026, as the current Governor Mike DeWine (R-Ohio), who took office in 2019, is not running.
