Former Republican presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy declined to say what job he would like if former President Donald Trump returned to the White House.
FOX News host Sean Hannity asked on his show. interview “There are many ways to bring about change in this country, both inside and outside of government,” Ramaswamy said Friday of the possibility of taking office in a second Trump administration.
“For the past few years, I have been doing it through the market,” Ramaswamy continued.
Ramaswamy announced earlier this week that he was withdrawing from the Republican presidential race and supporting Trump. Voter turnout in Monday's Iowa caucuses was low, according to an election report from Decision Desk Headquarters/The Hill.
“For now, we are suspending this presidential election campaign,” Ramaswamy said.
“As I've said from the beginning, we have two America First candidates in this election. And earlier tonight, I called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory. I will now have full support for the presidency,” Ramaswamy said later.
Ramaswamy later said in an interview with Fox News anchor Jesse Watters that fellow former candidates Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley should also withdraw from the race.
“At this point, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley are actually trying to make this happen, not just by nominating Donald Trump, but by stepping aside so they can focus on taking back this country and bringing back our founding revolutionaries.” I think he will contribute to the country and this party.'Ideal,'' Ramaswamy said.
The race for the Republican presidential nomination will be fought in the next state, New Hampshire, where Haley is trailing Trump by 11.4 points, according to the Decision Desk Headquarters/The Hill polling average.
