Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is scheduled to launch the expected 2026 run for the Ohio Governor next Monday.
After several weeks of tips moved, Ramaswamy is on track to launch a campaign in Cincinnati on February 24, a spokesman told The Hill. He submitted campaign documents over the weekend.
The Biotech entrepreneur joins Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) in the GOP Primary Race to make the success of Buckeye's term-limited governor Mike DeWine (R). Ohio treasurer Robert Sprague was expected to run, but he changed course earlier this month to back up Ramaswamy.
With some notable Prilek support, Ramaswamy appears to be located to become a seat favorite. He built a national profile last year through long-term presidential bids, and a new vote from the Pro-Lamaswamy companies suggests he will become a leading frontrunner.
Ramaswamy's team has also brought in some of Vice President Vance's top political advisers in recent weeks. He is an indicator that he can ultimately support him from former Ohio Senator or President Trump.
Even Trump supporters who fought in 2024, Ramaswamy recently left Trump's new government efficiency and left a committee focused on reducing federal spending.
Lamaswamy will travel for launch events in Columbus, Toledo and Cleveland areas after launching the Ohio State Campaign in Cincinnati next week, according to the Associated Press. First reported Lamaswamy campaign launch date.
