Emotions were definitely running high for Los Angeles Rams lineman Alaric Jackson after their overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, which ended 37-34. During the post-game scene, Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb seemed to exchange words with Jackson while he was removing his pads. As Chubb chatted with other Rams players at midfield, Jackson suddenly approached him and threw a punch.
Chubb later shared his thoughts on the situation, stating, “It’s just emotions, you know? It was an emotional game, very close.” He added, “They always catch the second guy,” referring to how penalties often follow a retaliatory action. His teammates quickly stepped in to prevent the situation from escalating further. “Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers flared, but we’ve moved on.”
It seems Jackson hasn’t publicly commented on the incident yet, but he could potentially face a suspension as a result of the altercation. Both teams were coming off a match considered by many as the game of the year so far. The game was intense, with the Rams tying it up thanks to a 1-yard touchdown run by running back Kyren Williams just seconds before the end of regulation.
In the end, the Bills clinched the win with Tyler Bass’s 45-yard field goal in overtime. With this victory, Buffalo improved their record to 4-1, while the Rams dropped to 2-3.
