Rapper 50 Cent performs ‘Many Men’ with Trump backdrop

Hours after the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump on Saturday, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson paid tribute to the former president at a concert in Boston.

Jackson performed the song “Many Men (Want to Die)” in front of a giant replica of the cover of their 2003 debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”

In the photo, which depicts the rapper standing defiantly behind glass that has been partially shattered by a bullet, Jackson’s head has been replaced with Trump’s.

The album’s third single, “Many Men,” depicts Jackson’s criminal past and the infamous incident that nearly led to his murder. Shot nine times.

Jackson too Posted a picture On X, he posted the comment, “Trump got shot and I’m trending.”

Fans quickly responded with memes of their own, often playing “Many Men” over images and videos of the current presidential candidate narrowly escaping death.

“They seem to be sympathetic to Trump because he was indicted on RICO charges.”

As 50 Cent has gotten older, he has become less bipartisan, more likely to support policies he approves of and more vocally criticize those he opposes.

In October 2023, Jackson posted a photo of President Biden lounging on the beach on Instagram, commenting, “Hey Joe, wake up early, we’ve got some big trouble!”

The rapper and entrepreneur, who, like Trump, is a native of Queens, New York, has also commented on New York politics.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Jackson shared a screenshot of an article about New York City’s $53 million program for undocumented immigrants, with the caption, “What the heck? Mayor Adams, call me. I don’t understand how this works. Someone explain it to me.”

50 Cent even said he felt black men were identifying with Trump since he was charged with a felony.

“We’re heading into the next election. Have you made a decision?” a reporter asked him in early June 2024.

“I honestly don’t know how to answer that question,” 50 Cent replied.

“What do you think about the importance of African-American men in this election?” the reporter asked.

“I can see their sympathy for Trump because they were indicted on RICO charges,” he replied.

RICO stands for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and is a charge typically used by law enforcement agencies to prosecute groups or individuals believed to have committed crimes over a long period of time.

Jackson is the latest member of a mass exodus of celebrities from Hollywood and the wider California.

The 49-year-old recently announced that he’s opening a film studio in the deep South – specifically, Shreveport, Louisiana – to tell unique stories and “nurture talent.”
