Rapper Dokii says she's “fed up” with the recent “cultural change” in the United States, which she perceives as an attack on trans rights. “We're not going anywhere,” the rapper declared.
“This organization was founded on the principles of acceptance, inclusivity and empowerment, and they are something I strongly believe in my advocates and continue to move me forward,” Dokiy said in her acceptance speech after winning the award for Outstanding Music Artist at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.
“Hard, especially those who have achieved cultural change and rights for transgender people and the LGBTQ community, is threatened, and I am tired of it.

“But I want to say we're here. We're not going anywhere,” Dokii added in her acceptance speech.
“The support and love I feel when accepting this award from Glaad is truly overwhelming and uplifting. It will move forward and enable my life and career. It's a beacon to ensure that no one blocks their dreams, even for other aspiring artists,” the rapper concluded.
Dokiy didn't mention President Donald Trump or the current administration by name, but she is likely referring to a clear cultural change in the United States, as evident from the 2024 election victory in landslide victory that includes not only electoral colleges, but also general votes and all swing nations of the country as well.
