Rapper and singer Sean Kingston has been indicted along with his mother on charges of fraud of more than $1 million and is serving time in a Florida prison.

The 34-year-old man, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was extradited from California following his arrest last month and was booked into Broward County Jail on Sunday.

The “Beautiful Girls” singer is scheduled to appear before a judge later Monday. Local 10 report.

According to arrest warrants, Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, 61, are charged with numerous offenses, including committing organized fraud, theft, identity theft and related crimes.

Authorities say the suspects are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from Bank of America and First Republic Bank, about $500,000 worth of jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade worth $160,000 and more than $80,000 worth of furniture.

The fraud scheme allegedly took place between October and March, authorities said, but specific details were not immediately available.

Kingston was arrested on May 23 while performing at Fort Irwin, a U.S. Army training base in California’s Mojave Desert.

The same day SWAT teams raided Kingston’s rented home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, his mother was handcuffed.

“Y’all love the negative energy! Me and my mom are doing fine!…My lawyers are processing everything right now,” the performer posted on Instagram in response to the raid.

As of Monday morning, Kingston was still being held on $100,000 bail on nine felony charges, according to online jail records.

He was already serving two years probation for trafficking in stolen property.

On May 23, SWAT teams raided Kingston’s rented mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Turner, who faces a total of eight charges, was released from custody last Sunday on $160,000 bail.

His mother pleaded guilty to bank fraud in 2006 for stealing more than $160,000. She served about a year and a half in prison, according to federal court records.

Robert Rosenblatt, an attorney for Kingston and her mother, said last week that the couple looked forward to having their charges heard in Florida court and were “confident that a successful resolution will be reached.”
