The Ravens Boost Their Offensive Line
The Baltimore Ravens have made a significant move to improve their offensive line by signing former Browns center Ethan Pocic to a one-year deal. Reports suggest the contract could be worth as much as $4.5 million, according to NFL Network.
Pocic is stepping in to fill the gap left by Tyler Linderbaum, who recently signed a substantial, record-setting contract with the Raiders. While it’s widely anticipated that Pocic will take on the starting center role this season, he will face competition from Danny Pinter, Jovon Gwynn, and Corey Bullock in training camp.
At 30 years old, Pocic brings a wealth of experience as he enters his tenth season in the NFL. Originally drafted in the second round by the Seahawks in 2017, he played four seasons with the Browns, starting 57 games since joining them before the 2022 season. Last year, he participated in 13 games but faced a setback with a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 13.
Despite the injury, Pocic has been cleared for training camp and is reportedly fully committed to the upcoming season. This news comes as the Ravens look to rebound from a disappointing 8-9 finish in 2025, now under the leadership of new head coach Jesse Minter.
In addition to Pocic’s signing, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta expressed interest in extending the contract of two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers. DeCosta highlighted his appreciation for Flowers, emphasizing the player’s desire to remain in Baltimore. “We love Zay. He’s a phenomenal football player, and his energy is contagious. I expect him to have a great year,” he mentioned, expressing optimism about contract discussions that are still underway.
