For decades, it has been said that pasteurizing milk kills harmful bacteria and reduces food poisoning. If that’s true, where did all the fuss about raw milk come from? Why has something that has long been considered dangerous suddenly become the trendiest food on the market?
Dr. Paul Saladino, dual board certified physician, host of the Fundamental Health podcast, and carnivore diet guru, recently appeared on Dave Rubin’s The Rubin Report to explain the truth behind the controversial drink and why the government seems to have a big problem with it.

Apparently, raw milk is much safer than we’ve been led to believe, while pasteurized milk is not as hygienic as the FDA claims.
According to Dr. Saladino, pasteurized milk “do not have It’s the most hygienic situation.”
“Breasts are like feces,” but “we know that milk is pasteurized, so we don’t really care if it’s contaminated,” he explained, noting that “in 1986 there was a massive Salmonella outbreak in pasteurized milk.”
In contrast, far more hygienic precautions are taken at raw milk farms. He points to California-based Law Farms, the largest raw milk producer in the United States.
“The guys at Law Farm built special barns so the cows can have multiple showers,” and “their waste is washed and monitored very carefully before they go to milk,” and “they test every batch for contaminants,” Dr. Saladino told Dave, adding that Law Farm “has never had a case of contamination.”
Regarding the health benefits of raw milk, “several long-term observational studies” have shown that children who drink raw milk have “lower rates of asthma, eczema, and allergies.”
“Drinking raw milk is probably beneficial for programming children’s immune systems,” Dr. Saladino said, adding, “Pasteurized dairy products are probably [his] “I’ve had eczema in the past.”
Additionally, “milk contains a variety of bacterial cultures that alter the intestinal flora, making it suitable for people with lactose intolerance.”
So if raw milk offers a variety of health benefits, why is the FDA “downplaying” it?
Apparently, at Law Farm and other farms like it, government agents showed up with “long-barreled submachine guns” and demanded that they “throw out all the milk.”
